What will Library Services Look Like?

The library is following provincial and local guidelines for operating during the pandemic and has implemented a number of changes to enhance the safety of all of our users.

Your Safety

Your safety is our top priority. That's why you will see physical distancing and directional signage around the building. We are also limiting the number of people in the building at a time to ensure enough space for physical distancing. Please practice physical distancing and follow the signs and directions from staff when entering and using the building.

Please conduct a self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms before visiting the library. If you are feeling ill, please stay home and call the library for assistance.

All staff will be wearing masks and face shields. As per the directive from the Medical Officer of Health, all visitors to the Library must also wear a face covering while in the building, unless exempted. Hand sanitiser is available at various points throughout the building for you to use during your visit. We have also implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, and have installed barriers at service desks.

Please do not bring outside food or drink into the building at this time.

An off-limits area on the first floor has been set aside for quarantining returned materials. Please refrain from entering this area.
